Creating a Winter Lake Shore Scene with Lynn

Hello friends!

Today we are kicking off a month long Design Team Winter/Holiday/Christmas themed card making marathon, and who better to get us started than Blue Knight Rubber Stamps owner, Lynn!

Lynn has chosen to transform Blue Knight's LAKE SHORE stamp set into a Winter scene with some basic PanPastel coloring.
We've got a few card pics to share...
And Lynn has put together a video tutorial that will have you wanting to create lots of our own Wintry LAKE SHORE cards!

Let's take a look at the cards!

Lynn tells us that this card is super easy and super fast to make....
She added color to the lake and sky with BLUE KNIGHT SELECT PAN PASTEL COLOR PALETTES...and ...and white-washed tones to the mountain tops and ground
Next, Lynn added the MINI COWGIRL and COWBOY stamp to the lake's shoreline to complete the scene.
To finish the card Lynn chose glitter card stock for matting.

Lynn's second LAKE SHORE card has some paper layering and a little bit of ribbon as an embellishment that adds a great pop of color.

Let's take a look at how Lynn created today's cards....

Who doesn't love having a few go-to cards that we know we can whip up super fast?
Especially when it comes to Holiday cards that we sometimes need to make a stack of...or in greater bulk numbers..

We think that Lynn's beautiful LAKE SHORE cards are ideal for your "Super--fast, Super-easy, Super-beautiful inspiration and card idea file!

If you'd like to get a head start with creating your Holiday cards...head on over to the Blue Knight Stamps web store HERE to check out the LAKE SHORE stamp.
If you're loving the COWGIRL and COWBOY stamp set too...you'll find it HERE.
The BLUE KNIGHT SELECT PanPastel PALETTES are HERE

Thanks for visiting today...
We look forward to you joining us throughout August for lots of  Winter/Holiday/Christmas card making inspiration!

  1. What a beautiful card!!! I love multiple uses for products!!! Do your stamps get gunked up with pan pastels when you restamp? Also, what do you use to clean your stamps? The BKRS are so detailed, I don’t like leaving bits of paper (baby wipes) or lint from cloths. Thanks! Love this card!!!

  2. Thanks Diane! I use the micro fiber cloths with stamp cleaner. I haven’t had any problems with panpastels gunking up my stamps.
