Whimsical Holly Stamp Set: Michelle Creates a Set of Embossed Holiday Themed Cards

Hello friends!

Today is the last day of our Design Team's month-long marathon of Winter/Holiday and Christmas themed card making, and we're sharing a set of 4 embossed-no coloring needed-cards that our Design Team Coordinator Michelle created!

Michelle chose traditional holiday colors of metallic card stock and gold heat embossing for each card. The WHIMSICAL HOLLY stamp set twas used o create the embossed backgrounds for each card and an assortment of sentiments from  the LOVE WAS BORN and COME LET US ADORE HIM sentiment sets. Michelle layered shimmery metallic card stock when creating each of today's single color cards.

We know that Michelle loves the combination of silver and gold together, so it's no surprise that she created a silver and gold version of this card. This sentiment is also from the LOVE WAS BORN

And finally, a traditional holiday green version with a sentiment from the COME LET US ADORE HIM stamp set.

Our month of Winter/Holiday/Christmas themed card making is officially complete now!
It's been a wonderful month filled with creativity and inspiration all done with YOU in mind!

A Snowy Village Card with Kren

Today we're sharing a SNOWY VILLAGE card, created by Kren.

Last week, we shared Kren's first SNOWY VILLAGE card, created with the dryer sheet technique.
Today, Kren's card has a different look!

This time, Kren opted to create a 5 x 5 sized card and she added color to this image with ZIG markers and Blue Knight Select PanPastels.  Stamping and coloring this image brings it to life!
The square 5 x 5 format, LCI Metallic card stock and die cut frame look wonderful with this card front sized image!

A Starry Chistmas Wreath Card and Video Tutorial with Nancy

Today, we've got a card and video to share with you from Nancy, who's created a gold heat embossed card with Blue Knight Rubber Stamps STARRY CHRISTMAS WREATH stamp.

Nancy paired up the heat embossed image with an assortment of METALLIC CARD STOCK from LCI PAPER for lots of layered shimmer. She chose a sentiment from Blue Knight's COME LET US ADORE HIM sentiment stamp set

Kat used a combination of Copic Markers and PanPastels to color this beautifully detailed, card front sized image. She also chose LCI METALLIC CARD STOCK for matting.

Creating a Shimmery Chickadee Card with Lynn

Today, we're sharing a shimmery. glittery card created by Lynn, with the CHICKADEE stamp, for the Design Team's August Winter/Holiday/Christmas Card Making Marathon.

Lynn created today's CHICKADEE card by adding PanPastel coloring to the image with BLUE KNIGHT SELECT PanPastel Palettes
The blue cloudy sky was created with the HEIDI PETTIE CLOUD STENCIL and PanPastels.
She added a sentiment from the LOVE WAS BORN stamp set
To add the shimmery overlay, Lynn used wide double sided tape to cover the image. Next, she poured glitter over the double sided tape, shaking off the excess glitter,  to create the sparkly overlay.
Lynn chose to use silver card stock for the ornate die cut frame.

Lynn tells us that this card was a cinch to create thanks to easy PanPastel coloring, the fool-proof Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil and using double sided tape to add the glitter to the image piece.

Winter Covered Bridge: Wintry Card Making with Michelle.

Hello Friends!

Our Design Team Coordinator Michelle has created the wonderful card that we're sharing today!

Michelle combined our large WINTER COVERED BRIDGE stamp with BLUE KNIGHT SELECT PanPastel PALETTES for coloring, some glitter card stock and some metallic card stock from LCI for matting to create today's very CAS Winter themed card.

We can definitely see Michelle's preferred style of card making in this very CAS (Clean and Simple) card.

A Shimmery Snowy Village card...with Kren

Winter Tree and Fence: A Wintry card and Video Tutorial with Nancy

Hello Friends!

Today we've got a beautiful Wintry card and video tutorial to share with you from our DT member Nancy!

Nancy created today's card with Blue Knight's WINTER TREE and FENCE. She chose a sentiment from the COME LET US ADORE HIM stamp set, did a little bit of masking, colored the image with PanPastels and chose  metallic card stock from LCI PAPER for matting.

Moonlit Owl: One Stamp, Two Cards, Two Different Looks with Kat

hell and welcome back to Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Design Team's August Winter/Holiday/Christmas Card Making Marathon!

Today, we're sharing 2 cards that DT member Kat created with the MOONLIT OWL stamp.

Kat's done a great job is showing us how one stamp can be used to create 2 cards that  have two totally different looks.

For the first card, Kat created an "embossed only" card.
This detailed image looks beautiful without adding color...when heat embossed.
Kat added a few mat layers of LCI Paper's metallic card stock, adding a little bit more shimmer to this gold embossed and already shimmery card.
Kat 's heat embossed card lacks nothing in it's beautiful CAS simplicity and we think that this is a wonderful card for those of you who might need to create a stack of Holiday cards that are identical.

For her second MOONLIT OWL card, Kat went in the complete opposite creative direction.
This time, Kat did some stenciling, used  lots of deep rich ink to add color to the image and background and chose complementary colors of LCI Paper's card stock to create this colorful and wonderful card!

Creating a Poinsettia Card with Shirley

Today, we're sharing a Copic colored POINSETTIA card created by DT member Shirley for the Blue Knight Rubber Stamps August Design Team Winter/Holiday/Christmas Card Making Marathon.

Shirley combined the card front sized POINSETTIA image, some ornate and detailed die cutting, Copic coloring and paper layering to create today's featured card.

Michelle Creates 2 Different Cards with the Poinsettia Stamp

Today we're happy to share 2 cards with you!

DT Coordinator Michelle has created 2 cards with our big beautiful POINSETTIA stamp!
Michelle chose to color each card differently, using Copics for one card and Blue Knight Select PanPastels to color the other card.

We love that a change of medium has given each card a unique and different look!

Michelle incorporated gold heat embossing, PanPastel coloring when creating this first POINSETTIA card
LCI Gold and  red toned metallic card stock was used for matting.

Michelle added color to the second POINSETTIA card with Copic markers.
Michelle chose classic traditional red and green Holiday colors for this card.
Green LCI metallic card stock was used for the largest mat layer and red glitter card stock was used for matting the image piece.

We love seeing the same stamped image colored 2 different ways which reminds us of it's versatility.

Today we're sharing Kren's second HEIDI's TREE card

Last week Kren created a beautiful card with the HEIDI'S TREE stamp in deep stormy colors and black heat embossing.
Today's version of Kren's card starts with white heat embossing that shows all of the details of this large sized stamped image. Kren added some PanPastel coloring with Blue Knight Select PanPastel Palettes, some die cutting, print paper, ribbon, LCI PAPER metallic card stock and a sentiment from  Blue Knight's COME LET US ADORE HIM sentiment stamp set.

Creating A Winter Evening Scene Card with Guest Designer Debbie

Last week we shared a wonderful card that Guest Designer Debbie created with the SILHOUETTE GRAZING HORSE stamp when we kicked off our August Design Team marathon of Winter/Holiday and Christmas themed card making.

Today, we're sharing another beautiful card from Debbie, also created with the SILHOUETTE GRAZING HORSE stamp.
This time, though, Debbie did a little bit of masking when stamping the image, to create today's Winter scene card.

Debbie stamped the SILHOUETTE GRAZING HORSE image, using masking to omit the horse from the stamped image. Some wonderful ink blending, sentiment stamps the COME LET US ADORE HIM stamp set,   snow detail on the ground, an added Winter moon, some falling snow and LCI Paper metallic card stock for matting all came together to create this gorgeous card.


We think that Debbie's card has the WOW-factor and we're sure that you agree!

Creating a Snowy Birch Path Scene Card : Winter Card Making Inspiration with Michelle

Kat chose a great color palette of Distress Oxide Ink for this card and did a super job coloring the image and with creating a beautiful background. She also chose LCI Wood Grain card stock for matting.

Away in a Manger: Creating a Copic Colored Christmas Card with Michelle

Hi Everyone!

Michelle here, Design Team Coordinator, and I'm happy to be participating in the August Design Team Winter/Holiday/Christmas Card Making Marathon!

I'll be joining the Team throughout the month to bring you lots of inspiration and ideas, and today, I'm sharing a Christmas card created with the AWAY IN A MANGER stamp set.

This large card front sized stamp has lots of sketch detail that's fun to color!
I opted to color this wonderful classic Christmas image with Copics.
I kept the card very CAS focusing on coloring the image, incorporating lots of shading and shadowing, I finished the card by double matting the colored image piece with gold and blue metallic card stock from LCI PAPER and positioned the matted piece with foam for added dimension.

This detailed stamped image was lots of fun to color, and for me, using Copics was the way to go. I was able to get the colors and tones that I wanted for all of the cards sketch elements....the hay...the starlit sky...the stone walls...hay fork...window frame...manger, baby Jesus...the bucket and the ground....

Creating a Winter Lake Shore Scene with Lynn

Hello friends!

Today we are kicking off a month long Design Team Winter/Holiday/Christmas themed card making marathon, and who better to get us started than Blue Knight Rubber Stamps owner, Lynn!

Lynn has chosen to transform Blue Knight's LAKE SHORE stamp set into a Winter scene with some basic PanPastel coloring.
We've got a few card pics to share...
And Lynn has put together a video tutorial that will have you wanting to create lots of our own Wintry LAKE SHORE cards!

Let's take a look at the cards!

Lynn tells us that this card is super easy and super fast to make....
She added color to the lake and sky with BLUE KNIGHT SELECT PAN PASTEL COLOR PALETTES...and ...and white-washed tones to the mountain tops and ground
Next, Lynn added the MINI COWGIRL and COWBOY stamp to the lake's shoreline to complete the scene.
To finish the card Lynn chose glitter card stock for matting.

Lynn's second LAKE SHORE card has some paper layering and a little bit of ribbon as an embellishment that adds a great pop of color.
