Cowgirl and Cowboy: Kren Creates and Outdoor Scene

Hello!

Today Design Team member, Kren, is up on the blog with a beautiful scene card that she's created with the May New Release Cowgirl and Cowboy stamp set.

Kren's card has so many wonderful elements that are both beautiful and inspiring:
The scene itself with a gorgeous sky...mountain backdrop details, green pasture-like grass, a sky that's both sunny and cloudy, the silhouette image and a sentiment banner with a cross-stitched edge.

We think that Kren's attention to detail makes this card extra wonderful!

New Release Inspiration with Nancy

The Blue Knight Rubber Stamps DT is winding down on a jam packed month of New Release inspiration.
The Design Team has been wowing us with lots of amazing silhouette cards throughout this New Release month, and today bring us another wonderful card from Nancy,

Nancy created this card and it gets a WOW from us for the overall card.
BUT, it gets a second WOW for the cowboy boot stencil that Nancy created and used as the background for the Cowboy Hero image.
Yes! Nancy created this die cut stencil herself!

Nancy always inspires us, and we know that she inspires you as well!
So get out your New Release Blue Knight Cowboy stamps and stencils (or create your own stencil like Nancy did!)  and start creating!

Special Guest Designer: Deanna

Hello friends!
We're happy and excited to introduce Blue Knight Rubber Stamps Special Guest Designer, Deanna, to you today.

Deanna is always creating magnificent cards and demonstrating her talents and skills with using PanPastels to create amazing knock-your-socks-off cards.
We think that you'll love seeing her cards as much as we do, so from time to time Deanna will be featured here at the BKRS blog.

Today, Deanna's card uses three BK stamps:
Silhouette Stag
Small Branches
and Bible Verses 1, for the sentiment.

Deanna has the magic touch when it comes to using PanPastels.
This wonderful card showcases her expertise in applying and blending PanPastels.

Deanna told us a little bit about how she created this card:

1. Punched a 1 inch circle mask for the moon from a post it note.

2. Created the background using pan pastels.
Colors: White, Permanent Red Tint, Permanent Red Extra Dark, & Red Iron Oxide.

3. Removed moon mask & added some shadow using a q-tip with Red Iron Oxide.

4. Stamped images using the MISTI

5. Added some color to the leaves with Prismacolor pencils.
Colors: Henna, Nectar & Deco Peach.

6. Stamped verse using the MISTI.

Deanna's beautiful card and simple description of the creative process have inspired us, and were sure that they've inspired as well!

Cowboy Up: Card Inspiration with Kat

Hello Everyone!

Happy Tuesday!

Today, here at the Blue Knight Stamps blog, we're sharing a great card created by Kat, who is on the BKRS DT.

Kat has been loving the Mini stamps that come with each of the May New Release stamp sets AND the Cowboy Minis set, so it's no surprise that she has created this wonderful card with these Cowboy Up images.

Kat created a true CAS card with lots of heat embossing, which really makes the mini images pop!

Kat also used one of the images as an embellishment by heat embossing it to make it appear to be an enamel embellishment piece!

We love what Kat has done with this card, and we're sure that you do too!

Cowgirl and Cowboy: Card Making Inspiration with Shirley

Today, we've got a fabulous card to share with you, created by Design Team member, Shirley.

Shirley paired up the mini image from the Cowgirl and Cowboy May New Release stamp set with BK's Country Lane stamp to create a wonderful scene.

Shirley also created  a cloudy sky with BK's Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil

We think that all of Shirley's silhouette stamp, color and sketch element choices for this card come together beautifully to create this scene.

Video Tutorial: Lynn Creates a Beautiful Sky with PanPastels

Hi Everyone, Lynn here, from Blue Knight Rubber Stamps.

I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend.

I have recently discovered PanPastels, well, I saw a video on FaceBook and now have gotten to play with them.

I'm in love!!!

PanPastels glide onto the paper and cover with no effort.
I like distressed inks but they take a bit of work to get what I want and that was okay, until now.
I can get the same look with these PanPastels with ease!
Of course, I used the Heidi Pettie Cloud Stencil  , which always makes it a cinch to create clouds.
Your completed PanPastel piece will need to be sealed to avoid smudging.
I ordered this Krylon sealant on Amazon.
It's made especially for pastels.
Problem solved!

I have a video to share, where I'll show all of you just how fast and easy creating a beautiful sky can be, especially when it's paired up with a fantastic stamp like Blue Knight's Lighthouse Silhouette stamp

This card is one of those cards!
This is a great sketch for both a card design and a scrapbook layout., AND for creating masculine cards.
We are loving Kren's attention to detail, as demonstrated in her use of die cutting, paper layering and the addition of some fine twine behind the star.

New Release Inspiration with Michelle and Nancy

Hello friends!
The BKRS Design Team has been really busy this month creating lost of amazing cards with the May New release stamp sets, and today, Nancy and Michelle are happy to share some creativity with you!
Nancy also has a tutorial video to share with you as well!

Nancy and Michelle have chosen different stamp sets from the May New Release for today's cards and hope that you're feeling inspired after seeing today's wonderful cards.

It's also Day #4 of Blue Knight Rubber Stamps New Release and Giveaway Week over at Michelle's blog today...so after you take a peek at her card (below) head over to Michelle's blog HERE, to get all of the details about how she created the star and what supplies, tools and products she used to to create today's card.

Cowboy Up is a great stamp set to create with. This silhouette image does a great job portraying movement, with the horses position; head down, arched back, tail raised and the cowboys hand overhead with his hat in his raised hand.
(*As noted above, lots of details about creating this card are shared HERE  over at Michelle's blog)

Matting this image with metallic gold and a turquoise toned card stock pulls this card together and adds a crisp brightness to the soft muted blended background.
If you visit Michelle's blog, you'll find out more about the background and star, as well as other details about how she created this card.

Nancy chose to create today's card with the Cowgirl and Cowboy stamp set.
She used the full sized (larger) image and the sentiment from the stamp set.
Nancy created this beautiful background by doing some amazing blending with a gorgeous color palette.
